  OVERVIEW

Instrument Flight Procedures are often referred to highways in the skies. They enable airlines and other flight operators to access runways of airports which would otherwise be inaccessible in adverse weather conditions or bad visibility. Flight procedures thus reduce the risk of costly delays, diversions and cancellations for airlines, and consequently enhance the attractiveness of airports with flight procedures. Flight procedures have the ability to increase efficiency within airspace, while simultaneously reducing greenhouse gas emissions and noise pollution.

The PANS-OPS Refresher course provides a comprehensive review and update of flight procedure design for Flight Procedure Designers who have completed the initial PANS-OPS course.

  • Regulatory update
